Sauerkraut salad
This is one dish that can not decide whether that taste or side dish,but I think it is a side dish, perhaps because of all the world'ssecond big help, and too
.
1 ½ cup sugar
¾ cup white wine vinegar
¼ cup vegetable oil
3 or 4 stalks celery, finely chopped (1 ½ cups)
2 small onions, thinly sliced and separated into rings
½ cup finely chopped red chili
2 teaspoons caraway or celery seed
2 pounds sauerkraut, drained
Mix sugar, vinegar and oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat nonreactive, stirring until sugar dissolves. Remove from heatand let cool. Enter the celery, onion, pepper and caraway seeds.Place sauerkraut in large bowl. Pour dressing over cabbage andtoss to coat. Refrigerate for 24 hours and bricks at room temperature before serving.
